Dr. Seuss Bulletin Board

Upper Left- One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish - Fishing For Compliments. Students earned fish for random acts of kindness. Students also had the opportunity to estimate how many fish they though were in the fish bowl.

Upper Right- Dr. Seuss ABC- Hip Hip Hooray For Hamilton Seuss Day! all "H's" in red for Hamilton.

Lower Left- The Lorax- Truffula Tree with magnetic letters to make CVC words

Lower Right- The Cat in the Hat- Different color hats to work on color word identification.

There's A Wocket In My Pocket


Dr. Seuss- There's A Wocket In My Pocket

Students create a Seuss creature to put in the pocket. The name of the creature they create should rhyme with Pocket. (eg socket, zocket, mocket) Students then write about their creature inside the pocket. Cut out the pockets and place the creatures inside.

I did this with my Kindergarten class. Their _ockets are made of construction paper. This was a good lesson on rhyming, word endings, and nonsense words.

Class book for Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? Students select a onomatopoeia from the list or select their own. Fill in the blanks on the page and create a corresponding illustration. Bind the students sheets together to create a class book to read along with Mr. Brown Can Moo! Can You? by Dr. Seuss.
